The International Coordinating Committee of the International League of Peoples’ Struggle on its meeting in February 6, 2009, wholeheartedly supports the following statement of Brazilian Centre of Solidarity to the People (Cebraspo), Institute of Human Rights Defenders, Projecto Legal, Network Against Violence, and calls on ILPS members organizations to disseminate said statement. U.S. authorities admit that it could go on for as long as a decade. The broad masses of the people, especially the workers and the peasants, are facing reduced employment and income, deterioration of living conditions and intensification of exploitation and oppression. This has sparked peoples' resistance from Greece to France, to the US, Haiti, China, Brazil and beyond in the imperialist countries, in the so-called emerging markets and former revisionist-ruled countries and in all the countries of the global South (third world countries). |
