Innovative May Day Greetings from Lahore – Pakistan.

On International Workers Day we express our deepest solidarity with workers’ (women & men) struggle all over the world. We workers around the globe are going to commemorate 1st May in worse financial crises created by capitalists and their representatives. Primarily these corporate giants squeezed world resources and then imposed recession on us for getting another era of domination and exploitation. We workers are paying heavy price of this nasty system run by big bosses and their puppet governments.

Friday, May 1, 2009 – Sisters of Gabriela Awaken (SiGAw) will demand workers' rights by marching in the BAYAN USA contingent of the Southern California Immigration Coalition, as they kick off a campaign calling to “Legalize America Now.” SiGAw is the newest member organization of GABRIELA-USA (GAB-USA), an overseas chapter of GABRIELA Philippines, the largest women’s alliance in the Philippines that struggles for the rights and welfare of Filipinas and for true national democracy in the Philippines.  SiGAw organizes around issues particular to Filipina women – issues that are also shared by other women of color in the US and around the world.

The European Court of First Instance will hear the complaint of Prof. Jose Maria Sison in Case T-341/07 against his inclusion in the so-called terrorist blacklist of the Council of the European Union in Luxembourg on 30 April 2009, starting at 9:30 a.m. The hearing shall be held at Rue du Fort Niedergruenewald at the European Court of Justice in Kirchberg-Luxembourg.
